About the Founder
Born and raised in Chicago, Michallie is the unapologetically witty, sassy, and analytical voice behind Petty AF (Auntie's Files). A proud veteran with 21 years of service in the United States Army, including three combat tours during the War on Terrorism, she brings a sharp, no-nonsense perspective to her work. Her urban upbringing in Chicagoland and her life as a "southerner by station" in Alabama give her a unique lens through which she views the world.
Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies emphasizing history, criminal justice, and administration, she is currently pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in mass communications with a minor in creative writing. She’s also a published author and a contributor to military publications during her service years.
Passionate about uncovering the truth, she created Petty AF (Auntie's Files) as an antidote to the slanted narratives often perpetuated by legacy media. She is dedicated to helping her readers distinguish between fact and opinion, encouraging them to think critically and spark meaningful conversations in their communities.
Outside of her work, Michallie is a proud wife and mom to two amazing kids—a daughter and a son. She’s also a storyteller at heart, with a love for gaming (think Call of Duty and City of Heroes) and homesteading. She’s not afraid to get into the "petty details," delivering insightful commentary and the occasional witty shade that might just leave you Googling for clarity.
With a growing TikTok following of over 140,000, Michallie spent three years hosting a weekday morning show covering news, politics, and current events. While her show wrapped up in late 2024, her mission to empower and inform Americans continues through her writing, her humor, and her dedication to the truth.
